For FILIPINO WOMEN only!!! Do FILIPINO WOMEN really prefer dating WHITE MEN in American society?
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010That is the question!
I happened to spend a Saturday afternoon drinking coffee with a friend of mine who happens to be a Filipino woman in her early thirties; a divorcee, independent, career driven, no kids………and prefers to date white men only.
The conversation started with her asking me if I was dating anyone. By the way, I am also Filipino, in my early thirties, have a successful career, never been married and just recently got off a three year relationship. If you must know my ex-girlfriend was white.
She wanted to know why I am not dating a Filipino woman. My answer was that my ex caught my eyes and I didn’t really think about whether she was white, Filipino, Latino, etc. The thing that turned me on about my ex was the mutual interest we had when we first met each other.
I asked my friend if she was dating anyone. And she said yes, and that her boyfriend is white. And she went on to say that she will never date a Filipino guy; also stated that she was once married to one.
She told me that white guys are more loving, caring, and able to give them the love that Filipino men can’t…Being Filipino myself, my ex has always told me that I was the most caring, loving, adventurous, and attentive guy she was lucky to have for 3 years. So instead of pulling my hair and trying to understand what my friend meant, I took a trip back to memory lane and into my college days where I took a class on Asian experience in American society. This is what I have found out regarding interracial dating:
1) Asian women (Filipino) traditionally come from a society/upbringing where the men wear the pants in the family. Decisions are made by the father/males. The women are subservient and docile and have no say in any decision making processes. Typically a chauvinistic family background. Asian women do not like this at all.
2) Once ingrained in American society, Asian women begin to realize the opportunities presented to them that they were deprived of in their cultural background; 1) Decision-making, 2) Career choices, 3) Social success, and 4) Economic success.
3) With numbers 3 and 4 strongly enforced as a part of their new-found life in American society, they slowly but surely begin to branch out of their “oppressed” upbringing and start dating Caucasian men. They feel that doing so will give them the economic and social success, happiness, and prosperity that eluded them while growing up in their culture. OF COURSE, THERE MUST BE LIKE/LOVE, OR INTEREST IN ONE ANOTHER. At the same time couldn’t an Asian (Filipino) woman gain economic and social sucess from an Asian, Latin, Black man, etc.? Nowadays, success knows no colors.
That’s all I remember from my college course, but I realize that new reasons have arisen the past couple of years.
I didn’t really think about it much, but since interracial relationships between Asian women (Filipino) and white men seem widespread in American society, what is the reason for it?
-ASIAN (FILIPINO) WOMEN WANT TO ESCAPE THEIR OPPRESSIVE UPBRINGING?
-DATING ONLY WHITE MEN WILL GIVE THEM THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC STATUS NOT AVAILABLE TO THEM BEFORE?
-WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN ORDER FOR “AMERICANIZED” FILIPINO WOMEN TO GIVE FILIPINO MEN AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN THE DATING GAME?
I always thought that once ASIANS, or any other culture for that matter, are deeply ingrained in American society, the chauvinism/machismo acquired from their cultures get bred out of them.
And come to think of it, why is economic and social success so important to Asian (Filipino) women that would warrant them wanting to date white men in the first place?
FILIPINO WOMEN, HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS TOPIC (I WAS OVERWHELMED AND FILLED WITH A LOT OF QUESTIONS AFTER HAVING SIMPLE CUP OF COFFEE ONE SATURDAY AFTERNOON).
Is honor really more important than money?
Tuesday, July 27th, 2010This seems to be the consensus among Filipino war veterans and their heirs. It is their collective reaction to HR 1 (signed by President Obama last Feb.17) – the economic stimulus bill which includes legislation recognizing the military service of Filipino WWII veterans.
For them, recognition for their efforts and their rightful place in history are more important than the $198-million compensation package from the US government.
Finally, justice for our elders. Reactions/comments please. Thank you.
DOES THE PHILIPPINES REALLY CARRY THE SOLUTION ON GLOBAL WARMING & CLIMATE CHANGE?
Saturday, July 10th, 2010The Philippine technology (better known as implantation) was written singly by the author Winston Kayanan in only 70 pages (plus 2 drawings) to account for all (land, air & sea) in completely curing the environment (studied in 3 months time). Unlike the studies of UN & more than two thousand scientists, they had drawn their paper in more than a thousand pages (studied in 5-6 years period) and yet, they arrived at nothing definite & conclusive and hence, the author considers their studies as incomplete & half-baked or worse, a false science, with no perception & solution as to how global warming & climate change can or could be totally & satisfactorily eradicated.
The concept of implantation is rested or anchored on organic matter cycling, using large volume of biomass (post harvest materials) deposited or buried in a typical one hectare and 10-foot deep wasteland (its subsoil) say, a sandy soil. By doing so, we shall give life to:
1.the soil towards fertility (by giving nutrients such as carbohydrates, sugars and other nutrients),
2.the atmosphere ((by absorbing CO2, releasing O2 & neutralizing CH4 to cool the air),
3.the plants for both crops & trees (by promoting growth & development),
4.the rest of organisms which are man, animals and insects (by providing food supply).
In advocating and revolutionizing the technology, we shall use its unlimited benefits towards curing the world’s environment and expect to receive good, positive & certain returns on application by:
1.rehabilitating the 60% desertified soils (per report of MDB in2005) that would improve the ecological balance of the earth;
2.purging the atmosphere that would normalize weather & climate, repair the ozone layer, help the rebuilding of glaciers, strengthen organisms immune system, and many more,
3.engendering agriculture, agro-commercial & agro-industrial uses for food abundance, housing & shelter materials, various human needs like clothing, therapeutic or medicinal discoveries, etc.
4.giving life-time & long-term peace & security to all organisms whether health, financial, economic or whatever.
As such, anyone is aft to forget its skepticism because there is nothing complex, illusory or immaterial that is contrary to our 3 basic sciences (which are biology, chemistry & physics). The causal sequence has a real nature of order of consequences, not a theory but a fact of common sense. It is absolutely a true knowledge about real things.
The author has already shown that, after offering to UNEP on December 2, 2002, peoples’ indifference is likewise abnormal, very unusual as evidenced by callous reaction of the Philippine government (like DENR, DA, DILG), some 30 countries thru their embassies in the Philippines, USA’s NASA-GISS, local media (like RPN 9, GMA 7, ABS-CBN) & international media (like CNN, BBC, CHANNELNEWSASIA), the Catholic Church (thru Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines), environmental schools (like Miriam & Ateneo) and NGOs (like OXFAM) from proposals or messages of the author since 2001 and likewise no optimistic & follow thru responses by the scientific community to the author in the Yahoo’s questions & answers given sometime May 2009. All these behaviors are defects which cannot be accepted as a universal ethic particularly in a matter of life and death situation. Based from the foregoing, the author has seen that the world and all of its scientists could not metaphysically or naturally perceive these things. Nonetheless they should be responsible for their faults of indifference and insensibility despite of their handicap & failure in visualizing & solving global warming & climate change.
The author believes that, in reference to Nostradamus prediction, saying: “In one night, trees that have long withered will go green again,” this fits & resembles the Philippine technology’s performance because for every implantation performance of a contractor in a hectare per day by all cooperating & collaborating countries, simultaneous rejuvenation (in land, air & sea) begins in the environment, building and planting new life and better world respectively.

Monday, April 26th, 2010it’s true that contraceptives help to control the population growth. But still they are the reason why the Filipino youth became ‘open in sexual matters’. The youth today were not afraid to have early pregnancy that cause early marriage because of that contraceptives!
