Obama, The biggest disappointment to the world?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

So i was talking to a filipino friend that lives in this tiny provincial town in the philippines who is very poor. He thought Obama is for the little man and the poor people and thinks will help bring change to the Philippines.

He failed to understand that his country is growing unbelievably because for the first time in its history they have a president that has pushed the economy to a 10% growth rate. and for the first time has a free market and not some dictator in office.

I was trying to explain that Obama wants the USA to become like the Philippines while the Philippines is becoming more like the United States.
Yes, so what does Obama want to do?
Take away oil, collapse our economy and send us all into the forest to work with yoga the bear and protect our planet.
Obama’s 10 times worse anything Bush ever did.
what are you talking about. All he ever talks about is how he wants to raise everyones taxes. He goes even further to want to take away the profits of our corporations.

Sounds like when Marcos was in power except marcos didn’t turn it into law, he just did it. obama actually wants to make it law. Talk about insane
I don’t know which is worse. Being a criminal president and stealing from the country or turning the laws of the country into some socialist banaza

Economic Prosperty in The Philippines? I guess the poor people didn’t get the memo?

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

This is what pissed me off is how the Arroyo Administration always tout out their economic successes, but many of those so called successes hasn’t trickled down the the majority of Filipinos in The Philippines, yes the 40+% who are at or below the poverty line.

You have this article recently put out:

UN sees more people going hungry in Philippines as rice prices soar

So the rise in the piso, will keep inflation in check? That’s what Arroyo and the BSP head stated. Any Filipino would know that the drastic rise of the piso would be bad, considering majority of OFWs are paid in dollars or in currency pegged by the dollar. So less money sent home. Plus, they stated the cost of American goods will be lower (oil for example, but oil has been going up and up), so inflation would essentially be lower. Name something where the average Filipino family buys American goods? They can barely buy local foods…

Also, I can’t find the source, but The Philippines has the highest inflation rate in all of Asia! Higher than even Japan.

Is Philippines a poor country?

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

I’m studying economics right now. From what I saw Philippines is a prosporous country with economic growth of 7’4% despite of the world economy crisis, What I don’t understand is when I looked it up in youtube.com Philippine looked kinda poor..very poor actually.

Unlike Laos where 85% are unempoyed and most of the people are not skilled. I can say they are poor…

The statistic show Philippines is doing just fine… A lot of poor people but there economy is doing great. Some Koreans told Philippine is a nice place but with lots of beggars… How can a country ranked 35th in purchasing power be so poor? Wah.. I’m condused. Statistics show there not but they are.

How come? Is there someone out there who can explain.

Do you agree that the rich businessmen and politicians?

Monday, April 26th, 2010

….consider the most impovershed 85% of their population as “parasites”? As the biggest Filipino businesses cater mostly to foreign customers, they have no “need” to help their less fortunate countrymen. Politicians also ignore their constituents because most Filipinos are not able to pay income taxes to them, so thay see no need to service them in return. Both the Filipino pols and bizness people see no tangible “use” for these suffering masses so, together, they structure laws and policies that essentially disenfranchise the poor–which comprise the majority in the country. Ever notice how rich/powerful Filipinos and their families see right through poor people when they encounter outside their huge homes and restaurants? Poor people outnumber the rich by a 20 to 1 ratio, so it’s heard to avoid them. Ever hear the rich daughter of a Fil-Chinese biznessman say how lazy and undeserving of opportunity the squatters are?
I asked this question before but only few people agree with me and they just got mad at my assesment.

There is no twisting of the truth here. My opinion is, to me, really an honest high-level assessment of an oft-ignored or denied condition(s), which affects the lives (and causes the deaths) of millions of essentially helpless people.

I know of these topics deeply. I’m an American throughout, but I lived many years there I can speak their language. and also I hanged out with the politicians/actors and the sheltered weatlthy. I know what I’m talking about.

My Q/A’a here are my simple attempts to spur people into action, or at least into a realization mode, to fix serious problems.
I DO WORK FOR ONE OF THE LEADING HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WORLD. Even someone like you would be able to recognize the organization–should I choose to reveal its name.

How about you? Where do you work? What do you do? Are you making a difference to the country right now? Or you just indulging yourself? I can tell you cant even write a single sentence in english properly.
I spent $2.8M in the Philippines It does makes me noble….you should all try it sometimes.
