International Private Investigators Review

2009 Survey selects Wymoo as leading investigator

Wymoo International began operations in 2006 and has rapidly taken up market share in Europe, North America and Asia for international private investigator services. In 2008, we reported that Wymoo had increased its market share and client base more than 300% from 2007 levels. We also reported that a primary factor in this growth was the fact that Wymoo also achieved one of the industry’s highest client satisfaction ratings. The word is out.

A February consumer research study conducted in over 10 countries in Europe surveyed existing private investigators and asked investigators to list the names and provide rankings for various investigation firms in the industry, regardless of the firm’s location or size. Participants names were kept anonymous and polling was conducted primarily by phone and email. The results were made available March 10 in London and are designed to be a self assessment of the industry, and also as a measure which will help improve efficiency and investigator service.

Of the 32 private investigation firms mentioned in the survey results, Wymoo ranked #1 in client satisfaction and #3 in most reputable brands or companies. Paul Fletcher of Wymoo says their strategy is simple, “focusing on clients, listening to clients’ needs and concerns, and hiring the best global field investigators possible to get the job done.” Wymoo’s rate of growth is drawing attention from competitors, and the investigation company’s focus on quality field investigators over technology could be the firm’s main competitive advantage. In fact, Wymoo is one of the few industry participants that openly criticizes the overuse of databases for conducting background checks, frankly stating the “information is often outdated or plain wrong.”

About the Firm:

Wymoo® International, LLC is based in Florida, United States with operations in over 100 countries. The Company is privately held with no published number of its exact size, although industry oberservers estimate 30 to 50 field investigators in the group alone. Clients are global in scope and most find the Company via its website, wymoo.com, and also through its subsidiaries, Colombia PI and Philippine PI, at colombiapi.com and philippinepi.com, respectively. Wymoo’s services are strictly confidential and clients may receive a free quote at any of the Company websites. Services include discreet surveillance, background checks, missing person searches, and due diligence screening. The average case turnaround is 7 days.

Online Dating 101: an Introduction

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

A rough guide for dating online, and avoiding fraud.

Welcome to the world of online dating. The Internet romance and match-making business has existed since the early days of the web, but only in 2000 did the industry become a major global industry. Internet dating website services have gone from an emerging market in 2000 to a full-blown competitive corporate industry with well over $2B USD in revenue at stake annually, as of 2006. As Internet usage and access continue to increase worldwide, as well as a decline in barriers to entry for new competitors, the industry is expected to continue to grow and attract new customers worldwide and maturing in 2010.

Who are the players in this market? Many names have done well establishing their brands early, such as Match.com, eHarmony, AmericanSingles, LavaLife and FriendFinder. Smaller and niche dating market sites continue to enter the game, as more and more Internet users are becoming more comfortable online, and therefore more comfortable with the idea of meeting someone special via the Internet. Success stories are out there, and so are the cases of fraud, international scams and big financial losses. More than ever, people are getting involved emotionally with someone they’ve never met, or someone who lives in another state or country. With this less personal contact comes the need for a professional background check from a confidential firm.

Buyer Beware: A few of the warning signs

Be skeptical and exercise caution if the individual:

1. Claims to be working, traveling or living in Nigeria.

2. Falls in love quickly, too quickly without reason.

3. Suddenly has an emergency, requesting financial aid.

4. Requests assistance with visa, airfare from Russia.

5. Requests financial assistance via Western Union.

6. Sends pictures that appear to be from a magazine.

7. Claims to be from S. Africa, Ghana or the Philippines.

Recommendations: The Basics

These tips could save you time, money and heartache:

1. Don’t rush; take your time getting to know someone online.

2. Never give personal information to somone you’ve never met.

3. Never send money to anyone you have never met in person.

4. Use caution: Philippines, Colombia, Russia, Ghana, Nigeria.

5. If appropriate, use the phone to get to know the person.

6. If meeting the person, always meet in a public, safe place.

7. If progressing, obtain a professional background check.

Finally, the industry provides more options for more individuals around the world to find friends, romance and meaningful relationships. In this view, online dating is clearly beneficial to consumers. With this new market, however, comes new risks and safety concerns. There are many success stories that have helped fuel the growing trend of Internet dating. Unfortunately, this growth has also been equalled in the number of criminals and professional scammers seeking monetary reward. We stress the need for caution, and if progressing, to obtain the services from a reputable firm such as Wymoo International for assistance.

All the best and happy hunting,

A. Hathaway

Why is the Philippines consider as a poor third world country?

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Philippines has been free from foreign occupation for a little over 100 years but they never figured out how to run their country well.

Philippines has a vast natural resources, but constantly deteriorating by constantly selling raw materials to the whole world thus making a very tiny profit with in it..

the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture & flawed tradition. eg. the way of respecting the laws and rules, discipline, punctuality etc.. have dominantly affects the growth of the country..

Great Filipino people are going out to the country because they feel that thier talent will never be appreciated once practiced in the philippines..

What is happening to the Philippines?– The nation’s problem are clearly seen at all times, at all places at all occasions.. Philippines– a third world country, isn’t it.. but What can you do can you make a bit for a difference?..

What were the last predictions of Nostradamus?

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

In the last part of historian Well’s movie “Nostradamus, the man who saw the future,” he mentioned two things in the following order:

1. “In one night, trees that have long withered, will go green again.” Literally, it would mean that global warming will eventually end (i.e., no more droughts, wildfires, etc.).
2. “Thousand Years.” This corroborated the author’s interpretation in the final episode of Daniel’s 4-beast vision and hence, it will eventually happen.

What was not mentioned by Nostradamus is the author’s prediction of the downfall of UN and 4-day judgment time (pandemic) beginning November 28, 2009 to January 10, 2010.

Going back to the first, do you think that God will send an overnight miracle to save His people from global warming? I believe not because if He did, people will give credit to UN and its Kyoto Protocol for eradicating warming including the threat of pandemic. And the world will still be the same, i.e., having false science & wrong direction.

Adding flames to the fire, UN-IPCC gave world a study that “rice lands are sources of methane.” Of course, it is. This is a positive emission (for food) in the same way as fruits & trees unknowingly release CO2 too. If O2 is abundant (which should be the main thrust of Kyoto Protocol, i.e., to replenish O2 in the air than to reduce carbon emissions), methane will immediately be neutralized to CO2 & H2O.

This was a half-baked study, a false science. Were they recommending to stop rice production? In the following months, the issue on food crisis surfaced. Such faults in world affairs are unforgivable. Do people now understand that the agencies under ECOSOC (the 4th beast in Daniel’s vision) are contradicting with each other at the expense of people & earth? And for such incomplete study of UN-IPCC, it was surprisingly awarded as Nobel Peace Prize winner. This is a total mockery of God’s laws (pre-given scientific facts) and creations (food sources).

Evaluate the phrase “In one night.” Has the world performed great wonders in curing the environment globally in just one night (or say, one day)? Things worsen every year, don’t it? Can we then assume that what Nostradamus was referring is the Philippine technology? If it can retrieve pure carbon with an equivalence of 28,000 trees, roughly about 650 MT, this could bring carbon to the soil as its major natural component. Other than this, the author claims that, in performing such task, in one day, it can do the following:

a. siphon quadrillions of CO2 and release quadrillions of O2 (in repairing ozone layer, shielding earth from extreme solar radiation, neutralizing pollution, rebuilding glaciers, strengthening organisms’ cells & immune system, etc.);
b. recapture carbon compounds of about 650 MT (in nurturing soil to fertility);
c. kill pathogens (in preventing diseases to epidemic or pandemic);
d. water recovery & stabilization (as soil water retention);
e. recapture the volatile nitrogen (for plantation’s health & growth)

All of the above tackled the failed responsibilities of UNEP, FAO, WHO & WMO. This may be Nostradamus’ vision of going green again, don’t you think so?

Tomorrow: Why is pandemic unavoidable?

Retrogression for Filipino Nurses

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Reports from around the world show the increasing demands for nurses. Internet posts, newspaper ads, television advertisements and many more reflect the said needs. However, in the Philippines it doesn’t seem to be true. Foreign countries are indeed posting nursing job vacancies but the requirements to obtain such position are too much to invest for such a third world country with great nurse productivity.

In the Philippines, the nursing manpower’s supply and demand is not helping individual’s professional and personal growths. More and more, nursing universities and colleges are building, and the number of nursing graduates and registered nurses are inclining. Nevertheless, if there is a great swap in every year or two for these local nurses to be given opportunities for a practice either prior to or after the required examination abroad.

Sometimes the word retrogression concerning the visa processing in the States has another meaning for Filipino nurses. Approximately 10 years ago, registered nurses were found working in malls, restaurants, hotels, etc, in different positions. Some worked as cashiers, waiters and waitresses, bar tenders, receptionists and others. These are due to the fact that there were very few opportunities for nurses to work. There was a very huge gap between the supply and demand.

Nowadays, as the government is solving this problem, it is still very apparent that this type of retrogression exists. Call centers, ESL schools, and other facilities are consuming the wide range manpower productivity in the country. Registered nurses are widely distributed in different positions not related with the course.

Nursing is an expensive course, yet there are so many limited vacancies for these successors to practice their expensive learning. It is the kind of investment which usually uses big amount of capital to have big amount of income. The fees concerning the sets of exams nurses need to pass in order to work in foreign countries as registered nurses are too expensive to compare with the average Filipino salaries. Even working as a staff nurse locally won’t be sufficient to support in processing these requirements. Good thing that there are some sponsoring employers, agencies, and recruiters. Nurses without enough budgets for such are just taking the risks of being cheated by some illegal and unlikely recruiters by the time they work abroad. Due to these requirements, some nurses are bound to the retrogression of working in different positions to be able to support their selves and their career.
