Following the scientific fact in biology, “a bacterium reproduces a billion every 10 minutes of gram at extreme conditions.” From the minimum 6,250 metric tons of biomass deposited & buried in a one-hectare wasteland, the Philippine technology will breed & propagate photosynthetic bacteria from the agricultural biomass’ organic matter. Urban wastes will only be mixed in small percentages so as not to allow harmful bacteria to interfere the process.

Photosynthetic bacteria are estimated to multiply up to sextillion per hectare a day from the deposited 6,250 metric tons, thereby engendering the microbial colony of beneficial microorganisms in the land. Assuming that each bacterium will absorb CO2 & release O2, the sextillion photosynthetic bacteria could assimilate about a 900 quadrillion metric tons of CO2 (via securing the molecular weight of gases in grams), thereby reducing the greenhouse effect in the atmosphere. And O2 regeneration follows, performing in the same volume daily per hectare a day. With such volume of O2, it can promote the growth of plants and trees, clean the earth’s atmosphere, repair the O3 layer (by way of O2 to O2 reaction), stop glaciers from melting and strengthen organisms’ health against pathogens & diseases, and so forth.

Photosynthetic bacteria & other CO2 absorbing microorganisms contain chlorophyll & make food in the form of glucose sugar by photosynthesis, also from CO2 & H20. Other than the production of glucose sugar, they will also yield O2 in the same or equal volume as CO2 absorbed. The glucose provides energy by heat exchange for other activities and is also converted into structural cellulose. Together with minerals from the soil, it is the starting point for making proteins and the beginning of purging the environment by absorbing CO2 & regenerating O2.

The Philippine technology will likewise utilize CO2 (and H20) in the formation of carbonic acids to react with nitrogen compounds (like ammonia, urea & other nitrogen fertilizers) in soils for plant growth and therefore, there will be no wastage in the use of CO2 if the soil is newly rehabilitated down to the sub-soil.
